Commercial Power Solutions

At Apex Energy Australia, we understand the diverse needs of modern businesses. Whether you aim to reduce energy costs, achieve sustainability targets, modernise your operations, or all of the above, investing in commercial solar is a strategic decision that pays dividends.

A commercial solar system can slash energy expenses by 40-50% compared to traditional grid rates. With a capital expenditure investment, you can expect a payback period as low as five years on an asset that lasts 30 years. Alternatively, finance packages offer immediate cash flow benefits without any upfront capital outlay, making solar adoption financially accessible from day one.

Beyond the financial advantages, commercial solar enhances your company’s reputation and competitive edge. It demonstrates a commitment to sustainability, meets growing consumer expectations, and helps attract and retain a motivated and satisfied workforce. Choose commercial solar with Apex Energy Australia and position your business for a sustainable and prosperous future.

Minimal Upfront Costs

Electricity money is dead money. Instead, you could put that quarterly power bill towards paying down a depreciating asset and have free electricity in as little as a few years.

Alternatively, you could purchase the solar system outright and utilise the instant asset tax write-off. Small Business Support – $20,000 instant asset write-off | Australian Taxation Office (ato.gov.au)

ISO Accreditations and in-house resources

Apex Energy is ISO accredited for Quality, Safety, and the Environment. These certifications are an independent verification of Apex Energy’s quality and safety focus culture. Gaining and maintaining these certifications requires an ongoing commitment to delivering industry best practices, something all staff are responsible for and ensure the solar package delivered for your business is of the highest quality and workmanship standards. Additionally, we don’t employ contractors so there is only one line of responsibility, Apex Energy Australia.

Important steps to consider

There are generally four solar system size categories for commercial solar. Your business’s size is determined by its energy requirements and the available installation space.

  1. 0 – 30kW: These are mainly installed in smaller businesses and schools. They are treated like residential systems and qualify for upfront discounts via the Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) scheme.
  2. 30kW – 100kW: Installed on mid-sized businesses, these systems still qualify for STCs; however, they sometimes require additional design and engineering work.
  3. 100kW plus: These systems don’t qualify for upfront discounts via STCs but instead use Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) which apply a ‘rebate’ by calculating the amount of energy generated each year. Our team will help you through the LGC process.
  4. Over 250kW: Systems larger than 250kW are custom-designed and assessed by our in-house engineers and installation team on a project and site basis. Often there is feasibility work and pre assessments in finding the right solution.

We work closely with your team to complete all necessary distributor, retailer and council approvals for any system we design in advance of any installation.

Before we install or upgrade any equipment such as solar panels, battery storage or EV chargers, we’ll need to assess the impact this equipment will have on the local electricity network to ensure it does not negatively affect others. Depending on the existing meter, you may need to pay for a digital meter to track your energy use, which we can organise with your retailer.

Our skilled project management team will lodge your network connection approval and will schedule your system installation. We work closely with your business to coordinate equipment deliveries, site safety and schedule work to minimise interruptions. We process all approvals, certifications, engineering requirements and rebates to make the process stress free.

It is essential you know how your investment is tracking and ensure all equipment is functioning the way it should be. Easily accessible, precise information from the live monitoring allows you to view system performance, production and compare this to estimates. If a discrepancy is found, the Apex Energy service team can quickly see what is going on and take action when needed.
